ASINTEC
is the Association for the Incorporation of New Technologies in
Businesses (Asociación para la Incorporación de Nuevas Tecnologías
a la Empresa), a private, non-profit entity, whose principal goal
is to provide services in diverse areas to businesses of the textile
and clothing industry, for the purpose of strengthening the companies
in this sector, for giving them a better competitive base, and for
developing a better inter-connection between businesses of the sector.
The origin
of ASINTEC is in February, 1990, when a group of six business leaders
from the clothing industry from Talavera de la Reina (Spain), convinced
of the need to act jointly and in co-ordination in order to overcome
the multiple deficiencies existent in their companies, decided to
create ASINTEC. In
1994 ASINTEC founded the Technological Centre for the Clothing Industry
(CTEC) (Centro Tecnológico de Confección), a Technological Centre
which came into being with a clear calling for giving backing to
the textile and clothing industry sector, and which continues to
offer technological services to regional, national and international
businesses. |
